The challenge
A growing e-commerce platform had outgrown its initial payment integration. It was locked to a single currency, single payment provider, and had no support for subscription or multi-tier pricing models.
Our approach
Audited the existing payment flows to understand which parts could be extended versus which needed replacement. Designed a payment abstraction layer that could support multiple providers, currencies, and pricing models without changing the product surfaces.
Solution & delivery
Built a unified payments service with provider abstraction, currency conversion, and flexible pricing primitives. Migrated existing customers with zero downtime. Added support for 11 new market currencies and two new pricing models within the first quarter post-launch.
