The Bull Named Black

“With heavy loads.”—This story was told by the Master while at Jetavana, about the Double Miracle, which, together with the Descent from Heaven, will be related in the Thirteenth Book, in the Sarabhamiga-jataka.

    “Yato yato garu dhuraṁ,

    No matter how heavy the load,

    yato gambhīravattanī;

    or how deep the passage,

  7. 1.3

    Tadāssu kaṇhaṁ yuñjanti,

    when they harness Black,

  8. 1.4

    svāssu taṁ vahate dhuran”ti.

    he pulls that load.
