    “Yathāpi ekaputtasmiṁ,

    Just as a mother would be good

    piyasmiṁ kusalī siyā;

    to her beloved only child;

  7. 1.3

    Evaṁ sabbesu pāṇesu,

    so, to creatures all and everywhere,

    sabbattha kusalo siyā”ti.

    let one be good.
