ถ้าผู้เช่าไม่ชำระค่าเช่า ผู้ให้เช่าจะบอกเลิกสัญญาเสียก็ได้ แต่ถ้าค่าเช่านั้นจะพึงส่งเป็นรายเดือน หรือส่งเป็นระยะเวลายาวกว่ารายเดือนขึ้น ไปผู้ให้เช่าต้องบอกกล่าวแก่ผู้เช่าก่อนว่ ให้ชำระค่าเช่ ภายในเวลาใดซึ่งพึงกำหนดอย่าให้น้อย กว่าสิบห้าวัน
