สมาชิกสภาผู้แทนราษฎรและสมาชิกวุฒิสภาย่อมเป็นผู้แทนปวงชนชาวไทย โดยไม่อยู่ในความผูกมัดแห่งอาณัติ มอบหมาย หรือความครอบงำใด ๆ และต้องปฏิบัติหน้าที่ ด้วยความซื่อสัตย์สุจริต เพื่อประโยชน์ส่วนรวมของปวงชนชาวไทย โดยปราศจากการขัดกัน แห่งผลประโยชน์ เล่ม ๑๒๔ ตอนที่ ๔๗ ก ราชกิจจานุเบกษา ๒๔ สิงหาคม ๒๕๕๐
