ข้อ ๒๖ ให้คณะกรรมการการอุดมศึกษามีหน้าที่ให้คำปรึกษา คำแนะนำ และความเห็น ต่อรัฐมนตรี คณะกรรมการมาตรฐานการอุดมศึกษา หรือปลัดกระทรวง ในการส่งเสริมให้สถาบันอุดมศึกษา ของรัฐและสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเอกชน รวมทั้งหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และภาคอุตสาหกรรม ร่วมมือกันได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ
