ในระหว่างที่ยังมิได้มีการกำหนดเขตระบบรถขนส่งทางรางและเขตปลอดภัย ระบบรถขนส่งทางราง ให้เขตระบบรถไฟฟ้าและเขตปลอดภัยระบบรถไฟฟ้าตามพระราชบัญญัติ การรถไฟฟ้าขนส่งมวลชนแห่งประเทศไทย พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๓ และเขตทางรถไฟตามพระราชบัญญัติ จัดวางการรถไฟแลทางหลวง พระพุทธศักราช ๒๔๖๔ ยังคงใช้บังคับต่อไป
