การเปลี่ยนชื่อส่วนราชการตามมาตรา ๖ ให้ทำเป็นประกาศรัฐสภาโดย ความเห็นชอบของ ก.ร. และในกรณีที่ชื่อตำแหน่งของข้าราชการในส่วนราชการนั้นเปลี่ยนไป ให้ระบุการเปลี่ยนชื่อไว้ในประกาศรัฐสภาด้วย ประกาศรัฐสภาตามวรรคหนึ่ง ให้ประธานรัฐสภาเป็นผู้ลงนามและประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา
