ให้เลขาธิการสำนักงานผู้ตรวจการแผ่นดินของรัฐสภาตามพระราชบัญญัติ ประกอบรัฐธรรมนูญว่าด้วยผู้ตรวจการแผ่นดินของรัฐสภา พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๒ซึ่งดำรงตำแหน่งอยู่ในวันที่ พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ เป็นเลขาธิการตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้ และให้ดำรงตำแหน่งต่อไปจนกว่า จะครบวาระ โดยให้เริ่มนับวาระตั้งแต่วันที่ได้รับการแต่งตั้ง
