ให้กรมราชทัณฑ์จัดให้เจ้าพนักงานเรือนจำเข้ารับการฝึกอบรมก่อนเข้าปฏิบัติหน้าที่ เพื่อให้มีการประเมินและพัฒนาความรู้ ความสามารถ และสมรรถนะในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ รวมไปถึง การจัดฝึกอบรมเพื่อเพิ่มทักษะและความเชี่ยวชาญ ทั้งนี้ ตามหลักสูตรการฝึกอบรมที่ได้รับความเห็นชอบ จากคณะกรรมการ เล่ม ๑๓๔ ตอนที่ ๒๑ ก ราชกิจจานุเบกษา ๑๘ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๐
