ข้อ ๑๗๖ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย เราจักแสดงธรรมที่มีทุกข์เป็นกำไรและธรรมที่มีสุขเป็นกำไร แก่เธอทั้งหลาย เธอทั้งหลายจงฟัง จงใส่ใจให้ดี เราจักกล่าว ภิกษุเหล่านั้นทูลรับพระดำรัส พระผู้มีพระภาคแล้ว พระผู้มีพระภาคได้ตรัสว่า ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรมที่มีทุกข์เป็นกำไรเป็น ไฉน การฆ่าสัตว์ ฯลฯ ความเห็นผิดนี้เรียกว่าธรรมที่มีทุกข์เป็นกำไร ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ก็ธรรม ที่มีสุขเป็นกำไรเป็นไฉน การงดเว้นจากการฆ่าสัตว์ ฯลฯ ความเห็นชอบ นี้เรียกว่าธรรมที่มีสุข เป็นกำไร ฯ
