When mendicants fight, the Buddha doesn’t like it.

ข้อ ๕๖๔ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ในทิศใด ภิกษุทั้งหลาย เกิดบาดหมางกัน เกิดทะเลาะ วิวาทกัน ทิ่มแทงกันและกันด้วยหอกคือปากอยู่ ทิศเช่นนี้ย่อมไม่ผาสุกแก่เราแม้แต่คิดในใจ จะกล่าวไปใยถึงการไปเล่า ในเรื่องนี้เราสันนิษฐานได้ว่า ท่านผู้มีอายุเหล่านั้นละทิ้งธรรม ๓ ประการเสียแล้ว ได้ทำให้มากซึ่งธรรม ๓ ประการเป็นแน่ ได้ละธรรม ๓ ประการเหล่าไหน ได้ละธรรม๓ ประการเหล่านี้ คือ เนกขัมมวิตก ๑ อัพยาปาทวิตก ๑ อวิหิงสาวิตก ๑ ได้ทำ ให้มากซึ่งธรรม ๓ ประการเหล่าไหน ได้ทำให้มากซึ่งธรรม ๓ ประการนี้ คือ กามวิตก ๑ พยาบาทวิตก ๑ วิหิงสาวิตก ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ในทิศใด ภิกษุทั้งหลาย เกิดบาดหมางกัน เกิดทะเลาะวิวาท ทิ่มแทงกันและกันด้วยหอกคือปาก อยู่ ทิศเช่นนี้ ย่อมไม่เป็นผาสุกแก่เรา แม้แต่คิดในใจ จะป่วยกล่าวไปใยถึงการไป ในเรื่องนี้เราสันนิษฐานได้ว่า ท่านผู้มีอายุเหล่านั้น

ได้ละทิ้งธรรม ๓ ประการนี้เสียแล้ว ได้ทำให้มากซึ่งธรรม ๓ ประการนี้เป็นแน่ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ในทิศใด ภิกษุทั้งหลายเป็นผู้สามัคคีกัน ปรองดองกัน ไม่วิวาทกัน เป็นเหมือนน้ำนมกับน้ำ ต่างมองดูกันและกันด้วยนัยน์ตาอันแสดงความรักอยู่ ทิศเช่นนี้ย่อมผาสุกแก่เราแม้แต่จะไป จะป่วยกล่าวไปใยถึงการคิดในใจเล่า ในเรื่องนี้เราสันนิษฐานได้ว่า ท่านผู้มีอายุเหล่านั้น ได้ละ ธรรม ๓ ประการเสียได้แล้ว ได้ทำให้มากซึ่งธรรม ๓ ประการเป็นแน่ ได้ละธรรม ๓ ประการ เหล่าไหน ได้ละธรรม ๓ ประการเหล่านี้ คือ กามวิตก ๑ พยาปาทวิตก ๑ วิหิงสาวิตก ๑ ได้ทำให้มากซึ่งธรรม ๓ ประการเหล่าไหน ได้ทำให้มากซึ่งธรรม ๓ ประการเหล่านี้ คือ เนกขัมมวิตก ๑ อัพยาปาทวิตก ๑ อวิหิงสาวิตก ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ในทิศใดภิกษุทั้งหลาย

    I feel comfortable going to a place where the mendicants live in harmony—appreciating each other, without quarreling, blending like milk and water, and regarding each other with kindly eyes—let alone thinking about it.
