คำรับรองนั้นจะเขียนลงในคู่ฉีกฉบับใดก็ได้ และจะต้องเขียนลงใน คู่ฉีกเพียงฉบับเดียวเท่านั้น ถ้าผู้จ่ายรับรองลงไปกว่าฉบับหนึ่ง และคู่ฉีกซึ่งรับรองเช่นนั้นตกไปถึงมือผู้ทรง โดยชอบด้วยกฎหมายต่างคนกันไซร้ท่านว่าผู้จ่ายจะต้องรับผิดตามคู่ฉีกนั้นๆทุกฉบับ เสมือนดัง ว่าแยกเป็นตั๋วเงิ ต่างฉบับกัน
