ให้สำนักงานอัยการสูงสุดเป็นหน่วยรับตรวจตามกฎหมายประกอบรัฐธรรมนูญ ว่าด้วยการตรวจเงินแผ่นดิน เมื่อสำนักงานการตรวจเงินแผ่นดินได้ทำการตรวจสอบรับรองบัญชีและการเงินทุกประเภท ของสำนักงานอัยการสูงสุดแล้ว ให้เสนอผลการสอบบัญชีโดยตรงต่อสภาผู้แทนราษฎร วุฒิสภา และคณะรัฐมนตรีด้วย
