๗๔:๒Arise and warn!

๗๔:๓Thy Lord magnify,

๗๔:๔Thy raiment purify,

๗๔:๕Pollution shun!

๗๔:๖And show not favour, seeking wordly gain!

๗๔:๗For the sake of thy Lord, be patient!

๗๔:๘For when the trumpet shall sound,

๗๔:๙Surely that day will be a day of anguish,

๗๔:๑๐Not of ease, for disbelievers.

๗๔:๑๑Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely,

๗๔:๑๒And then bestowed upon him ample means,

๗๔:๑๓And sons abiding in his presence

๗๔:๑๔And made (life) smooth for him.

๗๔:๑๕Yet he desireth that I should give more.

๗๔:๑๖Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations.

๗๔:๑๗On him I shall impose a fearful doom.

๗๔:๑๘For lo! he did consider; then he planned -

๗๔:๑๙(Self-)destroyed is he, how he planned!

๗๔:๒๐Again (self-)destroyed is he, how he planned! -

๗๔:๒๑Then looked he,

๗๔:๒๒Then frowned he and showed displeasure.

๗๔:๒๓Then turned he away in pride

๗๔:๒๔And said: This is naught else than magic from of old;

๗๔:๒๕This is naught else than speech of mortal man.

๗๔:๒๖Him shall I fling unto the burning.

๗๔:๒๗- Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! -

๗๔:๒๘It leaveth naught; it spareth naught

๗๔:๒๙It shrivelleth the man.

๗๔:๓๐Above it are nineteen.

๗๔:๓๑We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals.

๗๔:๓๒Nay, by the Moon

๗๔:๓๓And the night when it withdraweth

๗๔:๓๔And the dawn when it shineth forth,

๗๔:๓๕Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents)

๗๔:๓๖As a warning unto men,

๗๔:๓๗Unto him of you who will advance or hang back.

๗๔:๓๘Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds;

๗๔:๓๙Save those who will stand on the right hand.

๗๔:๔๐In gardens they will ask one another

๗๔:๔๑Concerning the guilty:

๗๔:๔๒What hath brought you to this burning?

๗๔:๔๓They will answer: We were not of those who prayed

๗๔:๔๔Nor did we feed the wretched.

๗๔:๔๕We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders,

๗๔:๔๖And we used to deny the Day of Judgment,

๗๔:๔๗Till the Inevitable came unto us.

๗๔:๔๘The mediation of no mediators will avail them then.

๗๔:๔๙Why now turn they away from the Admonishment,

๗๔:๕๐As they were frightened asses

๗๔:๕๑Fleeing from a lion?

๗๔:๕๒Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah).

๗๔:๕๓Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter.

๗๔:๕๔Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment.

๗๔:๕๕So whosoever will may heed.

๗๔:๕๖And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy.
