๘๐:๒Because the blind man came unto him.
๘๐:๓What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace)
๘๐:๔Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him?
๘๐:๕As for him who thinketh himself independent,
๘๐:๖Unto him thou payest regard.
๘๐:๗Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace).
๘๐:๘But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose
๘๐:๙And hath fear,
๘๐:๑๐From him thou art distracted.
๘๐:๑๑Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment,
๘๐:๑๒So let whosoever will pay heed to it,
๘๐:๑๓On honoured leaves
๘๐:๑๔Exalted, purified,
๘๐:๑๕(Set down) by scribes
๘๐:๑๖Noble and righteous.
๘๐:๑๗Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful!
๘๐:๑๘From what thing doth He create him?
๘๐:๑๙From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him,
๘๐:๒๐Then maketh the way easy for him,
๘๐:๒๑Then causeth him to die, and burieth him;
๘๐:๒๒Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life.
๘๐:๒๓Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him.
๘๐:๒๔Let man consider his food:
๘๐:๒๕How We pour water in showers
๘๐:๒๖Then split the earth in clefts
๘๐:๒๗And cause the grain to grow therein
๘๐:๒๘And grapes and green fodder
๘๐:๒๙And olive-trees and palm-trees
๘๐:๓๐And garden-closes of thick foliage
๘๐:๓๑And fruits and grasses:
๘๐:๓๒Provision for you and your cattle.
๘๐:๓๓But when the Shout cometh
๘๐:๓๔On the day when a man fleeth from his brother
๘๐:๓๕And his mother and his father
๘๐:๓๖And his wife and his children,
๘๐:๓๗Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others).
๘๐:๓๘On that day faces will be bright as dawn,
๘๐:๓๙Laughing, rejoicing at good news;
๘๐:๔๐And other faces, on that day, with dust upon them,
๘๐:๔๑Veiled in darkness,
๘๐:๔๒Those are the disbelievers, the wicked.
