Five good and five bad qualities that determine a nun’s destiny after death.
ฉบับหลวงทิฏฐิสูตร
ข้อความไทยนี้คือ พระไตรปิฎกภาษาไทย ฉบับหลวง ซึ่งแปลจากพระไตรปิฎกบาลีคนละฉบับกับบาลีที่แสดงอยู่ด้านล่าง จึงไม่ได้เรียงตรงกันบรรทัดต่อบรรทัด — อ่านเป็นสำนวนแปลอิสระอีกฉบับหนึ่ง
ข้อ ๑๑๘ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุณีผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๕ ประการ เหมือนถูกนำมา ไว้ในนรก ธรรม ๕ ประการเป็นไฉน คือ ภิกษุณีไม่ใคร่ครวญให้ตระหนักแน่ก่อนแล้ว สรรเสริญผู้ไม่ควรสรรเสริญ ๑ ไม่ใคร่ครวญให้ตระหนักแน่ก่อนแล้ว ติเตียนผู้ควรสรรเสริญ ๑
มีความเห็นผิด ๑ มีความดำริผิด ๑ ทำสัทธาไทยให้ตกไป ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุณีผู้ ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๕ ประการนี้แล เหมือนถูกนำมาไว้ในนรก ฯ
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุณีผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๕ ประการ เหมือนถูกเชิญมาไว้ใน สวรรค์ ธรรม ๕ ประการเป็นไฉน คือ ภิกษุณีใคร่ครวญให้ตระหนักแน่ก่อนแล้ว ติเตียน ผู้ควรติเตียน ๑ ใคร่ครวญให้ตระหนักแน่ก่อนแล้ว สรรเสริญผู้ควรสรรเสริญ ๑ มีความเห็น ชอบ ๑ มีความดำริชอบ ๑ ไม่ทำสัทธาไทยให้ตกไป ๑ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุณีผู้ประกอบ ด้วยธรรม ๕ ประการนี้แลเหมือนถูกเชิญมาไว้ในสวรรค์ ฯ

Having Wrong View

“Pañcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgatā bhikkhunī yathābhataṁ nikkhittā evaṁ niraye.
“Mendicants, a nun with five qualities is placed in hell as if delivered there.

What five?
- 1.3
Ananuvicca apariyogāhetvā avaṇṇārahassa vaṇṇaṁ bhāsati,
Without examining or scrutinizing, she praises those deserving of criticism,
- 1.4
ananuvicca apariyogāhetvā vaṇṇārahassa avaṇṇaṁ bhāsati,
and criticizes those deserving of praise.

micchādiṭṭhikā ca hoti,
She has wrong view
- 1.6
micchāsaṅkappā ca,
and wrong purpose,
- 1.7
saddhādeyyaṁ vinipāteti.
and wastes gifts given in faith.

Imehi kho, bhikkhave, pañcahi dhammehi samannāgatā bhikkhunī yathābhataṁ nikkhittā evaṁ niraye.
A nun with these five qualities is placed in hell as if delivered there.

Anuvicca pariyogāhetvā avaṇṇārahassa avaṇṇaṁ bhāsati,
After examining and scrutinizing, she criticizes those deserving of criticism,

anuvicca pariyogāhetvā vaṇṇārahassa vaṇṇaṁ bhāsati,
and praises those deserving of praise.
- 2.5
sammādiṭṭhikā ca hoti,
She has right view
- 2.6
sammāsaṅkappā ca,
and right purpose,
- 2.7
saddhādeyyaṁ na vinipāteti.
and doesn’t waste gifts given in faith.
