Dutiyaappiyasutta
Due to eight qualities, a mendicant is displeasing to their fellow monastics, but with the opposite qualities is pleasing.

ข้อ ๙๔ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๘ ประการ ย่อมไม่เป็นที่รัก ไม่ เป็นที่พอใจ ไม่เป็นที่เคารพ และไม่เป็นที่สรรเสริญของเพื่อนพรหมจรรย์ ธรรม ๘ ประการ เป็นไฉน ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุในธรรมวินัยนี้เป็นผู้มุ่งลาภ ๑ มุ่งสักการะ ๑ มุ่งความมี ชื่อเสียง ๑ ไม่รู้จักกาล ๑ ไม่รู้จักประมาณ ๑ ไม่สะอาด ๑ ชอบพูดมาก ๑ มักด่าบริภาษ เพื่อนพรหมจรรย์ ๑ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๘ ประการนี้แล ย่อมไม่เป็น ที่รัก ฯลฯ และไม่เป็นที่สรรเสริญของเพื่อนพรหมจรรย์ ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วย ธรรม ๘ ประการ ย่อมเป็นที่รัก เป็นที่พอใจ เป็นที่เคารพ และเป็นที่สรรเสริญของเพื่อน พรหมจรรย์ ธรรม ๘ ประการเป็นไฉน ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลายภิกษุในธรรมวินัยนี้ ไม่เป็นผู้มุ่ง ลาภ ๑ ไม่เป็นผู้มุ่งสักการะ ๑ ไม่เป็นผู้มุ่งความมีชื่อเสียง ๑ เป็นผู้รู้จักกาล ๑ เป็นผู้รู้จัก ประมาณ ๑ เป็นคนสะอาด ๑ ไม่ชอบพูดมาก ๑ ไม่ด่าบริภาษเพื่อนพรหมจรรย์ ๑ ดูกรภิกษุ ทั้งหลาย ภิกษุผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๘ ประการนี้แล ย่อมเป็นที่รัก ฯลฯ และเป็นที่สรรเสริญของ เพื่อนพรหมจรรย์ ฯ

“Aṭṭhahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu sabrahmacārīnaṁ appiyo ca hoti amanāpo ca agaru ca abhāvanīyo ca.
“Mendicants, a mendicant with eight qualities is disliked and disapproved by their spiritual companions, not respected or admired.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu lābhakāmo ca hoti, sakkārakāmo ca, anavaññattikāmo ca, akālaññū ca, amattaññū ca, asuci ca, bahubhāṇī ca, akkosakaparibhāsako ca sabrahmacārīnaṁ.
It’s when a mendicant desires material things, honor, and status. They know neither moderation nor the proper time. Their conduct is impure, they talk a lot, and they insult and abuse their spiritual companions.

Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu na lābhakāmo ca hoti, na sakkārakāmo ca, na anavaññattikāmo ca, kālaññū ca, mattaññū ca, suci ca, na bahubhāṇī ca, anakkosakaparibhāsako ca sabrahmacārīnaṁ.
It’s when a mendicant doesn’t desire material things, honor, and status. They know moderation and the proper time. Their conduct is pure, they don’t talk a lot, and they don’t insult and abuse their spiritual companions.
