Paṭhamasāriputtasutta
Sāriputta explains to Ānanda that someone who has the four factors of stream-entry—experiential faith in the Buddha, the teaching, and the Saṅgha, and ethical conduct—is a stream-enterer, destined for awakening.

สมัยหนึ่งท่านพระสารีบุตรกับท่านพระอานนท์อยู่ ณ พระวิหารเชตวัน อารามของท่านอนาถบิณฑิกเศรษฐี ใกล้พระนครสาวัตถี ครั้งนั้นเวลาเย็น ท่านพระอานนท์ออกจากที่เร้นเข้าไปหาท่านพระสารีบุตรถึงที่อยู่แล้ว นั่ง ณ ที่ควรส่วนข้างหนึ่ง ครั้นแล้วได้ถามท่านพระสารีบุตรว่า ดูกรท่านสารีบุตร เพราะเหตุที่ประกอบด้วยธรรมเท่าไร หมู่สัตว์นี้พระผู้มีพระภาคจึงจะทรงพยากรณ์ว่า เป็นพระโสดาบัน มีอันไม่ตกต่ำเป็นธรรมดา เป็นผู้เที่ยงที่จะตรัสรู้ ในเบื้องหน้า?
ท่านพระสารีบุตรตอบว่า ดูกรผู้มีอายุ เพราะเหตุที่ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๔ ประการ หมู่สัตว์นี้พระผู้มีพระภาคจึงจะทรงพยากรณ์ว่า เป็นพระโสดาบัน มีอันไม่ตกต่ำเป็นธรรมดา เป็นผู้เที่ยงที่จะตรัสรู้ในเบื้องหน้า ธรรม ๔ ประการเป็นไฉน? อริยสาวกในธรรมวินัยนี้ประกอบด้วยความเลื่อมใสอันไม่หวั่นไหวในพระพุทธเจ้า ฯลฯ ในพระธรรม ฯลฯ ในพระสงฆ์ ฯลฯ ประกอบด้วยศีลที่พระอริยเจ้าใคร่แล้ว ฯลฯ เป็นไปเพื่อสมาธิ เพราะเหตุที่ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๔ ประการเหล่านี้แล หมู่สัตว์นี้พระผู้มีพระภาคจึงจะทรงพยากรณ์ว่า เป็นโสดาบัน มีอันไม่ตกต่ำเป็นธรรมดา เป็นผู้เที่ยงที่จะตรัสรู้ในเบื้องหน้า.

Ekaṁ samayaṁ āyasmā ca sāriputto āyasmā ca ānando sāvatthiyaṁ viharanti jetavane anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme.
At one time Venerable Sāriputta was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery.

Atha kho āyasmā ānando sāyanhasamayaṁ paṭisallānā vuṭṭhito …pe… ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā ānando āyasmantaṁ sāriputtaṁ etadavoca:
Then in the late afternoon, Venerable Ānanda came out of retreat … and said to Sāriputta:

“katinaṁ nu kho, āvuso sāriputta, dhammānaṁ samannāgamanahetu evamayaṁ pajā bhagavatā byākatā sotāpannā avinipātadhammā niyatā sambodhiparāyaṇā”ti?
“Reverend, how many things do people have to possess in order for the Buddha to declare that they’re a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, assured, destined for awakening?”

“Catunnaṁ kho, āvuso, dhammānaṁ samannāgamanahetu evamayaṁ pajā bhagavatā byākatā sotāpannā avinipātadhammā niyatā sambodhiparāyaṇā.
“Reverend, people have to possess four things in order for the Buddha to declare that they’re a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, assured, destined for awakening.

It’s when a noble disciple has experiential confidence in the Buddha …
