วัน เวลาทำงาน วันหยุดราชการตามประเพณี วันหยุดราชการประจำปี และ การลาหยุดราชการของข้าราชการตำรวจ ให้เป็นไปตามที่คณะรัฐมนตรีกำหนดสำหรับข้าราชการ พลเรือน แต่ในกรณีจำเป็นเพื่อประโยชน์ในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ ก.ต.ช. จะกำหนดให้ข้าราชการตำรวจ ต้องปฏิบัติหน้าที่ตามวัน เวลา ที่แตกต่างจากที่คณะรัฐมนตรีกำหนดก็ได้
