เมื่อได้มีการประกาศผังนโยบายระดับประเทศ ผังนโยบายระดับภาค หรือ ผังนโยบายระดับจังหวัด ในราชกิจจานุเบกษาแล้ว ให้หน่วยงานของรัฐดำเนินการตามหน้าที่และอำนาจ เพื่อให้เป็นไปตามผังนโยบายดังกล่าว ทั้งนี้ ให้กรมโยธาธิการและผังเมืองมีหน้าที่ให้คำแนะนำแก่ หน่วยงานของรัฐด้วย
