    “Tatheva puṇṇā pātiyo,

    The cups stay just as full,

    aññāyaṁ vattate kathā;

    while the ignorant talk goes on.

    Ākāraṇena jānāmi,

    For this reason I know

    na cāyaṁ bhaddikā surā”ti.
