Bāhirāniccasutta
The six exterior sense fields are impermanent, suffering, and not-self. When a noble disciple truly sees them like this, they become disillusioned and liberated.
ฉบับหลวงพาหิรอนิจจสูตร
ข้อความไทยนี้คือ พระไตรปิฎกภาษาไทย ฉบับหลวง ซึ่งแปลจากพระไตรปิฎกบาลีคนละฉบับกับบาลีที่แสดงอยู่ด้านล่าง จึงไม่ได้เรียงตรงกันบรรทัดต่อบรรทัด — อ่านเป็นสำนวนแปลอิสระอีกฉบับหนึ่ง
ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย รูปเป็นของไม่เที่ยง สิ่งใดไม่เที่ยง สิ่งนั้นเป็นทุกข์ สิ่งใดเป็นทุกข์ สิ่งนั้นเป็นอนัตตา สิ่งใดเป็นอนัตตา สิ่งนั้นท่านทั้งหลายพึงเห็นด้วยปัญญาอันชอบตามความเป็นจริงอย่างนี้ว่า นั่นไม่ใช่ของเรา นั่นไม่เป็นเรา นั่นไม่ใช่ตัวตนของเรา เสียง กลิ่น รส โผฏฐัพพะ ธรรมารมณ์ เป็นของไม่เที่ยง สิ่งใดไม่เที่ยง สิ่งนั้นเป็นทุกข์ สิ่งใดเป็นทุกข์ สิ่งนั้นเป็นอนัตตา สิ่งใดเป็นอนัตตา สิ่งนั้นท่านทั้งหลายพึงเห็นด้วยปัญญาอันชอบตามความเป็นจริงอย่างนี้ว่า นั่นไม่ใช่ของเรา นั่นไม่เป็นเรา นั่นไม่ใช่ตัวตนของเรา ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย อริยสาวกผู้ได้สดับแล้ว เห็นอยู่อย่างนี้ ย่อมเบื่อหน่ายในรูป … ย่อมทราบชัด … ฯ

The Exterior as Impermanent
- 1.1
“Rūpā, bhikkhave, aniccā.
“Mendicants, sights are impermanent.
- 1.2
Yadaniccaṁ taṁ dukkhaṁ;
What’s impermanent is suffering.
- 1.3
yaṁ dukkhaṁ tadanattā.
What’s suffering is not-self.
- 1.4
Yadanattā taṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya daṭṭhabbaṁ.
And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’

Evaṁ passaṁ, bhikkhave, sutavā ariyasāvako rūpesupi nibbindati, saddesupi nibbindati, gandhesupi nibbindati, rasesupi nibbindati, phoṭṭhabbesupi nibbindati, dhammesupi nibbindati.
Seeing this, a learned noble disciple grows disillusioned with sights, sounds, smells, tastes, touches, and ideas.

Nibbindaṁ virajjati; virāgā vimuccati; vimuttasmiṁ vimuttamiti ñāṇaṁ hoti.
Being disillusioned, desire fades away. When desire fades away they’re freed. When they’re freed, they know they’re freed.

‘Khīṇā jāti, vusitaṁ brahmacariyaṁ, kataṁ karaṇīyaṁ, nāparaṁ itthattāyā’ti pajānātī”ti.
They understand: ‘Rebirth is ended, the spiritual journey has been completed, what had to be done has been done, there is nothing further for this place.’”
