Sahassabhikkhunisaṁghasutta

The Buddha teaches a thousand nuns the four factors of stream-entry.

เล่ม ๑๙ · หน้า ๓๖๑พระผู้มีพระภาคประทับอยู่ ณ ราชการาม ใกล้พระนครสาวัตถี ครั้งนั้น ภิกษุณีสงฆ์ ๑๐๐๐ รูป เข้าไปเฝ้าพระผู้มีพระภาคถึงที่ประทับ ถวายบังคมพระผู้มีพระภาคแล้ว ยืนอยู่ ณ ที่ควรส่วนข้างหนึ่ง ครั้นแล้วพระผู้มีพระภาคได้ตรัสกะภิกษุณีเหล่านั้นว่า ดูกรภิกษุทั้งหลาย อริยสาวกผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๔ ประการ ย่อมเป็นพระโสดาบัน มีความไม่ตกต่ำเป็นธรรมดา เป็นผู้เที่ยงที่จะตรัสรู้ในเบื้องหน้า ธรรม ๔ ประการเป็นไฉน? อริยสาวกในธรรมวินัยนี้ประกอบด้วยความเลื่อมใสอันไม่หวั่นไหวในพระพุทธเจ้า … ในพระธรรม … ในพระสงฆ์ … ประกอบด้วยศีลที่พระอริยเจ้าใคร่แล้ว ไม่ขาด ฯลฯ เป็นไปเพื่อสมาธิ อริยสาวกผู้ประกอบด้วยธรรม ๔ ประการนี้แล ย่อมเป็นพระโสดาบัน มีความไม่ตกต่ำเป็นธรรมดา เป็นผู้เที่ยงที่จะตรัสรู้ในเบื้องหน้า.

    Ekaṁ samayaṁ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṁ viharati rājakārāme.

    At one time the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in the Royal Monastery.

    Atha kho sahassabhikkhunisaṅgho yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṁ abhivādetvā ekamantaṁ aṭṭhāsi. Ekamantaṁ ṭhitā kho tā bhikkhuniyo bhagavā etadavoca:

    Then a Saṅgha of a thousand nuns went up to the Buddha, bowed, and stood to one side. The Buddha said to them:

    “Catūhi kho, bhikkhuniyo, dhammehi samannāgato ariyasāvako sotāpanno hoti avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo.

    “Nuns, a noble disciple who has four things is a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, assured, destined for awakening.

    Imehi kho, bhikkhuniyo, catūhi dhammehi samannāgato ariyasāvako sotāpanno hoti avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo”ti.

    A noble disciple who has these four things is a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, assured, destined for awakening.”
