Section ๔๘๙

ถ้าผู้ซื้อถูกผู้รับจำนองหรือบุคคลผู้เรียกร้องเอาทรัพย์สินที่ขายนั้น ขู่ว่าจะฟ้องเป็นคดีขึ้นก็ดี หรือมีเหตุอันควรเชื่อว่าจะถูกขู่เช่นนั้นก็ดี ผู้ซื้อก็ชอบที่จะยึดหน่วงราคา ไว้ทั้งหมดหรือบางส่วนได้ดุจกัน จนกว่าผู้ขายจะได้บำบัดภัยอันนั้นให้สิ้นไป หรือจนกว่าผู้ขายจะ หาประกันที่สมควรให้ได้
